My Mom, Josie Yamada’s Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
hello everyone,
my name is andrew yamada. i am the youngest child and only son of josie yamada. on january 18th my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which had also metastasized to her brain. she was told she had approximately 2 months to live. this is my mom’s fourth bout of cancer, and by far her most challenging. she is a uterine cancer and two time breast cancer survivor. in a short span of only 4 days, my mom had lost her mobility, ability to eat, experienced lapses of memory, became less and less verbal, and then suffered an endless amount of seizures and was admitted into hospice despite our wishes to have her moved to a relative’s home to spend her remaining days among family. sadly on january 27th, only 9 days after her final diagnosis, my mom passed away in the early morning hours of the day. it is without saying that this has been an emotionally, physically, and financially trying time in our family’s lives. we have been put into a tough bind with having to make decisions in an extremely short period of time. i am asking for financial assistance in order to cover my mom’s funeral expenses. due to religious reasons, my mom requested to be buried. i will ensure that her wish is fulfilled to the fullest since my mom is the queen of my life, and deserves the best for all she has done for myself, my family, and those around her. those who know my mom know that god is her entire life. throughout this difficult battle, she has never lost hope or faith, and continues to serve as an example of christ’s immense power. she has never given up and even when being told her life would be cut short, accepted god’s will with open arms. my mom is kindhearted, loving, accepting, gracious, independent, creative, adventurous, among so many other wonderful attributes. my mom is truly a one of a kind woman who’s zest for life, and cancer story touched and inspired so many people to never give up. my mom lived a modest life doing what she had to do in order to make ends meet and unfortunately did not have pre-established funeral arrangements to alleviate stress upon her loved ones. i am praying for a financial miracle at this time. we have appreciated your love, support, prayers, and donations during this most difficult ordeal. on behalf of myself, my family, and especially my mom, thank you and god bless you all.
