Josie’s NICU stay
Donation protected
Hello,
In December, Chandler and Emily found out they were expecting a child. What most of you don’t know is that at 9 weeks she was put on bedrest due to a hemorrhage and was later also diagnosed with placenta previa. At 19 weeks she was approved to go back to work with restrictions. She was able to work two weeks before her water broke on 4/29 at 21 weeks. She was sent to Atrium in Macon, GA, where she was told that most women would give birth within 24 to 48 hours after their water breaks. Thankfully, Emily was able to remain pregnant for almost another 6 weeks after. She had an emergency c-section on June 5th and their little one, Josie, was admitted into NICU where she will receive around the clock care. Given her prematurity, her physicians have informed them to expect her to be a patient until her due date, which was in September. However, her time in NICU depends on how quickly Josie adjusts and she is proving to be strong-willed! Emily has not been able to work for the majority of her pregnancy and now will not be able to for the remainder of Josie’s stay. Emily’s husband, Chandler, has been there with her, exacerbating all of his leave time. Their expenses are adding up with the combined cost of both Emily and Josie’s hospital stay while not having steady income. We have been asked by friends and family members how to give towards their need so we decided to start a gofundme. We are grateful for any contribution. We thank everyone who has already poured into their lives. We are very much appreciative of ALL prayers for this sweet family’s new beginning. We serve a faithful God and believe that He is working things out for their good!! Thank you EVERYONE!!
