Joslyn's Fight Against Colon Cancer
Donation protected
As a young wife and mother, Joslyn had everything to look forward to in life. And then on January 31, 2019 her entire life changed. Joslyn was admitted to the hospital to have an emergency appendectomy. After 4 hours of surgery, Joslyn awoke to the words we all fear “you have cancer”. Joslyn was diagnosed with stage III, high risk colon cancer at the young age of 34. The surgeon removed 12 inches of her colon and told her she would be unable to work for 12 weeks at a minimum.
For the past 3 years Joslyn has been the sole financial support of her family, as her husband had committed himself to raising their 3-year-old daughter Annalise until she enters school. In one moment, the entire dynamic of this beautiful family has changed. Joslyn is a strong woman, who is facing a long road of Chemotherapy followed by a HIPEC “hot chemo” surgical treatment in order to save her life, and continue her journey with her family.
Thankfully, Joslyn has insurance; however it does not cover everything when you are dealing with cancer. There are many medications, treatments, unknown expenses and missed work time that are beginning to hit this young family. Joslyn and David have never asked for assistance, and it is difficult to ask now. Please keep this young family in your thoughts and prayers, as they maneuver through this difficult time. We appreciate any gesture you can extend to Joslyn, David and Annalise.
