Journey from Escaping Death to Seeking Safety and Healing

Hello,
My name is Saleh Jalhom, a 40-year-old former primary school teacher from Gaza. I cherished my work and my students. I have a wonderful family with four children: Ahmad, 14, dreams of becoming a football star; Bahaa, 11, wants to be a YouTuber; Abdul Rahman, 8, aspires to become a doctor; and Jorry, 3, dreams of advocating for women's rights.
Our lives were turned upside down by the war. Forced to flee from northern Gaza with only the clothes on our backs, we reached Rafah and slept on the streets until we found a small tent. Life has become a struggle for basic needs, with unhealthy food, unsafe water, and no proper sanitation. My children brave dangerous paths to fetch water, and their education and future hang by a thread.
My wife, Khulood, suffers from severe health issues, including endometriosis and a second-degree uterine prolapse, with no medical care available in war-torn Gaza. She urgently needs surgery, and we require funds to evacuate her to Egypt for treatment.
I have lost many family members, including my sister and her family, which has deeply affected us. My elderly parents are overwhelmed with grief and hardship.
I am seeking donations to support our living expenses and fund my wife’s medical evacuation. Your help is crucial for us to survive and find peace.
Thank you for standing by us.
