Journey's Medical Service Dog!

Journey is turning 10 on October 6, 2023. We had faith we would make it to each birthday, but we never saw 10 years old coming. Journey was born with a genetic disorder called Edwards Syndrome. The beginning portion of her life was spent with medical teams in Jacksonville and Las Vegas working to keep her alive and healthy. Journey is wheel chair bound, has several seizures throughout the week and she will be getting a risky spinal surgery soon. Now that she has made it to the double digits we the family decided it would be a good time for a Medical Service dog to help keep her company and communicate emergencies. We are raising support for a Labradoodle that was born on August 1, 2023 and for the training from Dog Training Elite in Las Vegas. The cost of the Labradoodle has been graciously reduced because the breeders wants to support Journey's next phase of life to $2500 and the Dog Training at the institute is $5000+. Everyone keeps asking what they could buy Journey or how they could celebrate her 10th birthday and this would be the biggest way of support and celebration. We don't see Journey's disabilities as a community burden, but we celebrate all of her achievements publicly. So we are praying to gather support from our loved ones and others who love to support a little girl with a Medical Dog.
