We're Adopting!!!.... and could use your help!
As you may or may not know, we have struggled with getting pregnant. Due to certain medical issues, we could not get pregnant on our own. We then went through two rounds of IVF and two transfers with no luck! We want nothing more than to be parents one day. Although we have always considered adoption and wanted to adopt, infertility and two failed rounds of IVF have put us in a position where adoption gives us the best chance of being parents. Although infertility has been devastating, we are grateful to open our arms and home to a sweet baby!
Throughout our lives, we have been surrounded by friends who have been adopted, and more recently, we have found ourselves near those who have adopted. The success that we have seen in those lives gives us abounding hope for our adoption journey! Unfortunately, with the cost of IVF and now adoption, it has become well beyond anything we could afford on our own. For example, it costs roughly $20,000 just for the home study and marketing fees alone. The cost for the entire adoption process (Legal fees, Expectant Mother Support, Travel, Medical Expenses, and small miscellaneous items) can range from $40,000-50,000 on average.
This GoFundMe will directly help us with the expenses that come with the adoption process! Many of our friends and family have asked how they can support us throughout this process, and we have two specific needs at this time:
1. We ask that you pray for us in this journey and for the birth mothers and families looking into adoption as an option. We fully understand that adoption is a complicated process full of grief, loss, and love for many parties involved.
2. Adoption is an expensive process, and we need help financially, thus this GoFundMe. If you're able to give, thank you so much! We truly appreciate any help that we can get.
