Journey to Baby Wilburn

We are Benjamin and Morgan Wilburn and are raising money to help cover the costs of fertility treatment we are pursuing this month.

We have been married for almost 8 years, and for most of that time, we have been believing for children - for the promises of God to come to pass in our lives, for our seed on the earth, and for legacy. We married in September 2015, and in October of that year, we felt led to begin trying to get pregnant. I did get pregnant that month, but ended up having an early miscarriage. We assumed it would be easy to conceive and that we would have no problem having babies, but fast forward 8 years, and that has not been our story.

We tried on our own for a couple of years, then began seeing doctors to find out what the issue was. With some information, we began changing some lifestyle things to natural, whole health alternatives, and that drastically helped some of the issues we were having - but still no baby. Fast forward a few more years, after several failed IUIs, surgeries for both of us, and another spontaneous pregnancy that ended in miscarriage in 2021, we are now here knocking on a door that took some gentle persuading from the Holy Spirit to get to.

After much prayer and consideration, we will be going through a round of Mini-Stim IVF at Southeastern Fertility in Knoxville this month. We are doing this in hope and in faith that this is an avenue that will be used in us becoming parents to the babies we have been believing for and anticipating all these years.

The total cost of this for us, including medications, office visits, the procedure, and travel, will be around $14,000.

Just as we are believing God for babies, we are believing Him to provide the funds needed for the process. And we are all in with our commitment to do our part. This is not the first treatment, procedure, or investment we have made into our future children, as we have spent thousands over the years in our pursuit of that - all by faith, even when we didn’t know where the funds were coming from. And we are willing to do the same now.

However, we also know that we are not in this alone, and there are people who have walked with us along this journey, even if from a distance, that we want to offer the chance to sow into something bigger than us.
