Journey to USC - Samantha Johnson

Hello, my name is Samantha Johnson and I have recently been accepted into my top college, the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy, for their Master of Public Administration program. It was a dream come true to find out that I would be able to further my studies at the 3rd best public affairs university in the nation.

 

 

I chose the Master of Public Administration program because I want to become a leader in my community. Upon graduating from the master’s program, one of my goals is to work with a non-profit organization that focuses on creating programs and mentorships for youth from underserved communities. I have had many mentors positively impact my life, so I believe that it is essential to help others establish life skills that will lead them to success.

 

It would be an honor to pursue my professional dreams as a graduate student, join such a fantastic community, and be a part of an academic environment that prepares future leaders to construct a diverse society. I am in need of financial support to help cover the costs of my tuition. I am continuously applying for scholarships. However, any help would be much appreciated.
