*****************1/7/2022 UPDATE - A Copy of Baby Jordyn's Celebration of Life Booklet is now available.**********************************

On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, Baby Jordyn Hopkins tragically lost his life while in the temporary custody of DSS and a foster family in Brevard, NC*.
Mother Jordan Hopkins’ world was shattered upon receiving the devasting news. He is his mother’s only child, who made her believe in miracles. We need your help to return Baby Jordyn back to Detroit, MI for a celebration of life.

Jordyn Michail Sioned Hopkins was born on September 2, 2020. He was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) which is a rare genetic disorder that gave him unique physical features, hearing loss and developmental delays.

Many people who got to know Baby Jordyn would agree he had the most beautiful smile and laughter. He brought absolute joy to anyone he met. He was tiny but mighty in developing with CdLS; this served as an inspiration to everyone. Jordyn was very smart, loved to hold people’s hands, and enjoyed his chin being rubbed. Baby Jordyn had just learned to kiss his Mom back to show affection. His favorite thing in the world, was his pacifier, which he learned on his own to play with using his fingers and limbs. Jordyn's videos will show you a glimpse of the love he wanted to share with the world.

As Mom Jordan and her family grieve the unexpected, tragic loss of their baby, we are forever grateful to everyone that can come together to help us provide Baby Jordyn with a safe journey home and the homegoing celebration he deserves. We are grateful for your mercy in assisting his Mother Jordan to relieve any financial burden related to this loss.

A star has been registered in his name and we welcome everyone to look up and send him your thoughts and prayers. We welcome you to visit Jordyn’s Star in real-time at: star-register.org and enter #6489647. His tribute to all of us is “With you always, day and night – in the warmth of the sun and in the starlight.”

We thank everyone in advance of your generous donation and please know that we’ll forever be grateful as we go through painful period. To learn more about Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), we invite you visit the CdLS Foundation at https://www.cdlsusa.org.

*As of the posting of this story, a death investigation has been initiated by the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
