On Christmas Eve, 2022, our family lost Whitney Rise Roberson, a beloved daughter, sister and friend.
Whitney is survived by the twin daughters she cherished, Madeline and Mackenzie, her mother Sharon Rise, her father Eric Roberson, her siblings Samantha and Victoria, her Grandparents Vivian Rise, Bob and Patricia Roberson, and a wide extended network of cousins, aunts, uncles, and chosen family. She is preceded in death by two of her guiding stars, her grandfather Gordon Rise and her stepmother, Debbie Roberson.
Whitney was so proud of her girls, and she considered them the best thing that ever happened to her, and we know that the best of her lives in each of them. Maddie and Mackenzie are the most brilliant people in our family at ten years old—smart, funny, adventurous, wildly creative and profoundly compassionate—they've endured more hardship and grief than any child should, and still, they continue to shine their love and light into the dark corners of our days.
There was no question about Whitney's devotion to her daughters, but her unexpected passing, and the tumultuousness of her struggles leaves our sweet twins in need of support as they grow up.
Surrounding Maddie and Mackenize with love and supporting their hopes, curiosities and joy is more important now than ever before. Helping us build the financial means for the girls to enjoy sports, art & music, adventures with loved ones, and higher education would mean the world to us.
Whitney’s creativity and potential to love without reserve and give without hesitation will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her—especially her daughters. In this spirit, we hope to honor the best of her by supporting Maddie and Kenzie.
Thank you for your consideration and care!
