Joy Wilborn Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Joy Wilborn was a kind, thoughtful and energetic 10-year old that loved her family, friends, animals and dancing. No amount of words could accurately describe the joy that she brought to her people.
On Friday, December 27, Joy Wilborn passed away at Cook Children's Hospital. Joy is the daughter of Geno and Mary Mayo and Sean Wilborn. Joy was a 5th grade student at Tanglewood Elementary, and has an older sister Charlie in 6th grade and a brother Ty in 7th grade; both at the McLean middle schools in Fort Worth.
The Joy Wilborn Memorial Fund has been set up to honor Joy and support causes that she cared deeply for, such as melanoma research (Joy’s mother Mary has been winning her battle with melanoma for several years), animal shelters and rescues, and dance scholarships for less fortunate children. A portion of the funds will also be used to memorialize Joy with something physical in our community (such as a park bench or a tree).
Please consider donating any amount to the Joy Wilborn Memorial Fund, and/or sharing this link with your friends. Also, pray for Mary, Geno, Charlie and Ty as they mourn this terrible loss. Joy was a dear friend to many and will never be forgotten.
