Hi,

My name is Gemma and I am creating this go fund me page to try and raise funds so I can buy a plot, Bury my Nan, Grandad and Dad's ashes and finally lay them to rest.

My nan passed away about 20+ years ago, my grandad couldn't let her go, so he kept her on the side and wanted to be reunited with her when he passed away.

On New Year's Eve 2011, my grandad passed away and so was placed in the same memorial box as my nan.

My dad however, could not bare the idea of burying their ashes or scattering them.

Unfortunately back in 2019, my dad was diagnosed with cancer and lost his battle in 2020.

I then at the age of 30, became the responsible person of their ashes and now, almost 4 years on have decided that to move on from my grief, I need to give them a place to rest in peace together but also, I need somewhere to be able to visit them.

I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2022 following my dad's passing as it was traumatic alone with him, and I have fought with myself daily to try and forgive myself for actions I'd do allover again if it happened tomorrow as I know I did everything I could for him in those final moments together and made sure, the last thing my dad did in his last breaths were smile and laugh.

I cannot afford a plot, or a stone for them alone.

I plan to sell items, done some fundraising and whatever it takes to save up the money to get them a memorial plot.

A few people have told me that they would help and support me and to make a go fund me, so whilst I'm not usually a person who will accept help as I'm always the help, I need to learn to accept help off people who want to and that's why I'm making this fundraiser.

Thank you in advance if you contribute anything to this cause, it really does mean a lot to me and it will be lovely that my daughter Eva can finally have somewhere to visit and learn about them as she grows older as well.
