Joyce Pruett Stroke Campaign

As many of you know, Mom had a brain aneurysm February 13, 2018 that ruptured while she was at home in Cummings and led to a bleeding stroke. Later she suffered a fall at a nursing home and had a traumatic brain injury, She took 2 medical helicopter rides to the University of Kansas totaling over $70,000. She had impairment but recovered quite well and was living at home again.
Recently, on February 5, 2019 (her 52nd wedding anniversary no less), she suffered an ischemic stroke and now has right arm  and leg paralysis, as well as problems with thinking and remembering. She is in KU's inpatient rehabilitation hospital now, working hard to get back to where she was before this stroke.
The medical bills have piled up over the past year and certainly will for this stroke as well. All told, the bills are over 1.4 million dollars, which saved Mom's life.
We are asking you to join in to help us continue to care for Mom. Her treatment includes spending approx 3 weeks in KU's rehab, and then possibly a nursing home if she cannot be safe coming home or home, in which she would need home care and home health (for PT/OT/Speech Therapy).
Your generous donations will go to help pay future medical bills (for this stroke), pay for home care, and to pay past due medical bills, many of which are in collections now.
