Joyce Yvonne Hackett Memorial

Hi, my name is Karl Hackett and I'm fundraising on behalf of my incredible mother who we lost to complications related to COVID-19 on Sunday, January 30th.

 

Pastor, Joyce Hackett was a parent to 3 but she was mother to a multitude. She continually inspired others through her kindness, generosity, grace and goodness. She was a Pastor (Greater Light Church and Ministries) and a Counselor; she was intelligent and thoughtful; she was tender and fierce.

 

Mom, as she was affectionately called by most who knew her was a constant friend, a caregiver and confidante. It is in the spirit of her benevolent nature that we'd like to use this platform to continue an effort she began in secret a couple years ago when she started personally supporting a family that found themselves in need, due to a devastating medical crisis.

 

We hope to provide continuing support for this family through the balance of 2022 and beyond if possible as we try to honor the enormity of her contributions to her family, the congregation and her community.

 

If mom was one thing, I think it's fair to say that she was a giver. She gave her time, attention, her resources and of course her love. We truly hope this effort helps us give to her through the final celebrations of her life while continuing her giving in a meaningful and substantive way.
