Hey everyone,
If you don't know me already, my name is Joyce (AKA @completelybkd/BatYoncé on Twitter). If any of you know anything about me, you'd know that I have dreams of going into publishing, which is almost impossible without connections. An amazing opportunity presented itself to me in the form of the LARB-USC Publishing Workshop that I was accepted into. Unfortunately, I was notified that they would be able to fund my tuition, they could not provide me with room and board, unless I was able to pay for it myself.
The $3000 cost is just too much for me to take on myself and my family is definitely not in a place that would allow me to get this much money together on my own, especially at the end of this month. I am a graduating college student and I do not have a job awaiting me once I finish up school, but I know that the experience this workshop would provide is a great first step to my dreams.
