Joyous Exploratorium: Mobile Resource Center

Joyous Exploratorium (Joy Truck for short!) is a traveling community-based resource center bringing the arts, storytelling, oral history and tools of community resilience and repair- with opportunities for folks to learn, lead and teach-to rural neighborhoods in the Maine Central Highlands.

The big ol' beaut of a truck needs a little help getting started. So much support in the form of barter and sharing has been generated so far and there are many ways to keep that type of support going. Even though much of the remaining renovations will be completed using  methods of re-use and barter, your financial donation is vital to launching this project. 

The Joy Truck needs $2,500 to get rolling over the summer of 2021.

$2,500 covers: 
1 year of commercial auto insurance through Progressive 
1 year of business liability through Quaker Liability
1st year registration
Mileage/Gas to get Joy Truck out into communities
Financial support for focus groups and community stipends 

Your financial support helps the Joy Truck weave through neighborhoods and towns bringing tools and resources from community partners and organizations to far regions of Piscataquis County, offering a flexible space for connection, curiosity and creating. Your donation helps bring Joyous Exploratorium to life.
