Jozie Flowers Funeral and Memorial

Jozie had a larger than life character. Everyone she met was a friend and all loved her. She left a huge impact. A school Ambassador. Sadly, her life is not without tragedy. At the age of 3 her mom, Jennifer, was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. Within 14 months we had lost her, two days before Jozie’s 4th birthday. Her grandmother and Jennifer’s mom, who is also an American Veteran of OIF/OEF, continued to care for Jozie and obtained legal guardianship. Making sure all of Jozie’s needs were met and that she had a loving life. Gofundme account created by family and closest friends.

March 9,2021 was like any day. She was at the table working on her times tables then had dinner, she played with her dogs and fell asleep on the couch. Two hours later she woke with a headache and asked for help, 20 mins later our Jozie was gone. To later be pronounced brain dead on March 12, 2021. We are beyond devastated, heartbroken and at a loss for such a sweet girl.

Jozie loved life! She loved her puppers (dogs); Chopper and Duke, and her cat Luna. She especially loved wolves. If she could she would have them all and to run wild. She had grown found of her aunt’s ferret and would be allowed to babysit from time to time.

She loved blueberry and would eat a whole carton! She ate her veggies and loved meat. However, she was not fond of rice but recently has stated to her aunt, “it’s grown on me”.  She loved everything in life and we tried to make sure she wanted or needed for nothing. Well, she didn’t like school that much, math the least.

Jozies youtube Jozie dreamed of being a famous YouTuber. She loved to watch #SSSniperwolf, and #Azzy. She wanted to have a million subscribers. I’m hoping we can make her life’s dream come true by sharing her YouTube and go fund me as much as we can!

By donating you will be helping with Jozie’s funeral, memorial fund and family needs. Jozie is currently in California and the family is trying to get her home to Tennessee so she can be with her mom and family. Just the immediate family’s plan tickets are about $2000., rental car $1000, expenses. The funeral expenses are expected to be around $15,000, maybe $20,000. The ambulance is $2500. Headstone $500. Ever bit helps. Bless and Thank you! ❤️

1030pm 3-09-21: We are needing prayers right now. As many and as much as you can.

Update: 0400am Jozie has had a stroke / aneurysm. The PICU at loma Linda children hospital is working with her right now.

850am 3-10-21: Jozie is still non responsive, they have been able to stabilize her blood pressure for now. The machines and meds are doing all the work. We need god to work on her brain, stop the swelling, have her start breathing on her own and make a full recovery. Amen

5pm we have seen no change in Jozie. She is still on life support. She is also hooked up to an EEG, that monitors brain activity. We need a miracle. My baby needs a miracle that only god can deliver.

830pm same, no changes. We go between being told there isnt much hope to possible hope. The last we heard is that the neurosurgeon said she had an aneurysm. Please keep the prayers coming.

700am 3/11/21: they have lowered the meds controlling her heart rate, she is doing some of the work herself. The respirator is still breathing for her. There was little activity on the eeg last night but we are seeing a little something. Not sure what that means just yet. Not out of the woods, by far. Dear lord please hear our prayers. We are praying for a full recovery! To heal the swelling, the blood clot, heal her most in the smallest of areas to the largest of damage. Make so the drs, while smart are astonished at the wonderful, miraculous work you perform. Amen

330pm 3-11-21: Jozie is still non responsive, doctors said that the core part of her brain is not working. That’s the parts that controls breathing, heart beat and reaction to pain. They have started testing to check for brain death. Tomorrow will be the last test, if she is still non responsive she will be pronounced. If there was ever a time for a miracle. I can not imagine life with out her. Her smile, laugh and ahhh how she loves to talk your ear off.

1000am 3/12/21 the doctors performed the second brain death test. Sadly our dear sweet, innocent loving Jozie.. we are all heart broken and lost right now. Life is not the same or ever will be. We lost a beautiful soul today. We gather strength from knowing she is a beautiful angel in heaven playing with all her new friends (she never met a stranger), and all the animals!! Her favorite of all time are wolfs.. and sloths , ferrets plus her two dogs and cat Luna. You may see her video from Sunday, Jozie telling her she loves her and that the cat loves her back ☺️.

We encourage everyone to please share pictures and or memories. There are so many!! ❤️

We plan to donate her organs so other families won’t experience the loss of their babies. We then want to fly her home to Tennessee to be with her family.

We thank each and every one of you that have prayed, and sent positive thoughts. His love helps sustains us right now in the darkest of times in our life.
