Running for Their Lives

You all have seen me run for many organisations. Many of you helped me raise money for the Ghassan Abu Sittah Fund to help children get needed health care in Palestine earlier this year when I ran the Geneva Half Marathon.
I spent my career in public health at big organisations but it is clear to me now that the real force that will change the world is personal solidarity with those in need.
Today, I am running for three amazing people and their loved ones.
There are tens of thousands of families affected by the conflict in Palestine.
Politics 100% aside, this effort is about getting material help to innocent Palestinian children and their surviving adults trapped by the terrible violence happening in the country.
I am trying to raise funds that will directly help provide support for food, medical care and evacuation for 3 families that are in desperate need.
A little on the three individuals and their families. Each of these families has their own fundraiser if you would prefer to give directly to them. Please just send me a message and I will share those links.
- Sana Odeh is currently in Gaza and is a graphic designer. She is trapped with her parents and and her sisters: a nurse/educator, small business owner, a medical student, and a field coordinator. "Everyday there are non stop explosions and every night, tanks and guns all around us, and fear as a constant companion. It is a non-stop nightmare, every minute of every day. Everyday is a struggle for survival
- Walaa, who is a paraplegic and needs special care, but remains a pillar of strength for her family. She is caught with her mother, her brother Mohammad and his wife and their 3 children, her sister Asmaa and her 4 children, her 17-year old sister Shatha, her 19-year old brother Ahmed, her sister Aseel and her two children, and finally her youngest 14-year old sister Sarah. She writes that "Your support is literally saving lives and making a real difference."
- Mohammad and his wife Wafaa, who are seeking to try and evacuate Wafaa and their remaining family members while Mohammad continues as a journalist in Gaza to report on the war. They have lost their homes to airstrikes and Wafaa's family have lost 3 children, as well as many others in the family. In addition there are three family members who require urgent and expensive medical treatment that cannot be obtained or carried out in Gaza.
I am connected to these families personally and I know that every dollar you donate will go directly to these three families.

I am trying to raise 10,000-15,000€ or even more if possible.
It is a lot, but if we could do that, it would literally save the lives of these wonderful innocent people who have seen their existence and homeland literally destroyed.
