Camden, we need your help!

Camden Valley Inn is embarking on a week-long fundraising campaign to rally behind our local talent, Evan Wulff, who has been selected to represent Australia in the Men's Softball World Cup tournament taking place in Mexico, in November 2023.

Evan Wulff, a spirited 19-year-old hailing from Camden, is poised to represent not only his country but also his hometown on the global softball stage. From Monday 11 September, to Sunday 17 September, Camden Valley Inn is set to channel its efforts into giving Evan a memorable send-off as he gears up for the challenge of a lifetime, by helping him raise funds in and out of the pub.

Evan has been playing softball since the young age of 8, where he started for the Camden club all the way through to now. In 2018, Evan was hospitalised for three months with third degree burns on his legs, and second degree burns on the rest of his body - and still made the national team just two years later.

His resilience, passion and dedication to softball has struck a chord with the Camden Valley Inn and Lewis Land Group teams, who are determined to make a difference by supporting a local young gun.

As part of this initiative, a dollar from every chicken schnitzel (Evan’s favourite Camden Valley Inn meal) sold will be contributed to the fundraiser. The pub is rallying the community to come down, enjoy a pub classic and help Evan get to Mexico

"We are thrilled to be a part of Evan's journey to the Men's Softball World Cup. It's heartwarming to witness the community coming together to support our very own talent," states Kayla Seeney, General Manager of the Camden Valley Inn.

Evan himself will be working at the venue throughout the week to have a chat and share his passion for softball with customers, and to make supporting Evan’s cause even more convenient, the pub has also set up a “Travel Tips Jar” at each bar for patrons to drop their spare change in.

“We hope, through our fundraising efforts for Evan, we can inspire people of the power of community. We hope the entire week encapsulates the essence of giving back, embracing young talent and fostering a sense of pride for all Camden residents,” said Kayla.

So Camden, help us get local boy Evan Wulff to Mexico to represent Australia and our country town Camden.
