Support for Derrick Rosal & Family
Donation protected
On May 18, 2022, my brother Derrick Rosal, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma at the age of 43. Derrick is a father to four children, Justin (23), Kayleah (19), Noah-Jax (13) & Xylah (2) and has been happily married to his wife Frances for the past 20 years.
This diagnosis came as a huge shock to our family, as he has been living a healthy lifestyle; eating healthy and working out at the gym 5-6 days a week to keep himself off any type of medication. A couple of weeks ago, Derrick began to have body aches with which he associated to working out. He eventually went to the ER with what he thought was a bad reaction to a supplement he was taking to work-out since his pain increased significantly. He was discharged and within a few days was rushed to the ER again due to being in excruciating pain.
Derrick is currently at St. Rose Hospital in Henderson, NV where treatment has been immediately administered. He will be going through extensive chemotherapy for the next 6-9 months at the Comprehensive Cancer Center. The oncologist projects that Derrick will eventually need to go on disability due to the side effects of the chemotherapy.
His wife Frances, works part-time, caring for Xylah and Noah. However, her income and the amount of disability income that is expected would not be enough to cover all of their financial needs, including the cost of the newly acquired medical bills.
Our hearts are full as many of their friends and family have already stepped up to help with their two younger children, allowing Frances to be able to attend to Derrick’s medical needs and so his older children can continue to work and go to school. It is Derrick’s wish to keep his children’s lives as normal as possible without much change.
Many people have been asking of ways they can help him, and his family get through this unfortunate time. We are humbled that so many people care enough to offer their kindness to my brother and his family. The time that people have taken out of their busy lives to help them get thru this change has been invaluable! Other than time, another great way you can help is to make a financial donation. Donations can also be sent through Zelle (please contact Derrick or Frances directly for information) if you do not prefer to pay by card. Any amount is greatly appreciated even if it is just $5.
Again, your thoughtfulness in supporting our family during this difficult time is very much appreciated. At the same time, we completely understand if you are unable to contribute at this time. We just ask that you continue to pray and reach out to your friends and family to include Derrick in their prayers.
Our family is so thankful for your thoughts, prayers and kindness and would like to share that any over-abundance of donations will be given back to the community for cancer patients and children in need.
Much love and thank you all for your support and kind generosity!!!
