Fight against Leiomyosarcoma

Donation protected
Dear friends,

I am regretfully writing you in sadness. Last week my Aunt Sue, who is currently residing in North Carolina, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer - Leiomyosarcoma.

A few months ago my Aunt had her uterus removed. Shortly after the surgery my aunt was having a hard time breathing. When she went to the hospital they diagnosed her with pneumonia and was administered medication.

After a few weeks she was not feeling any better. She went back to the hospital to have some scans done. Much to our surprise, at this time my family learned that there was something potentially tragic developing.

Within a few days of scans and analysis my aunt was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma - a rare version of Sarcoma. The diagnosing Doctor gave a saddening report - one that we choose not to believe.

From my understanding, there are only a few hospitals in the world that specifically handle this type of cancer - Mass General being one of them. My family and I need my Aunt to return to Boston to increase her odds of survival.

First and foremost, please keep my family, specifically Sue, in your prayers. Along with prayer, my family will accept any and all monetary donations to help with medical expenses - including the expense to get her to Mass General.

On behalf of my family, I thank you very much for your kindness to someone you may or may not know.

Love,

Thomas Fisher
