Help My Dad!

Hi, my name is Crystal and I making this fundraiser for my dad, George. These last few months have been difficult and he needs some help. It all started when he lost his job back in the beginning of July due to heat related illness, though we were able to find him work shortly after, he took a hit financially. The car he had been driving needed to go in the shop right before he started his new job, rushed it in for roughly $900 of work. The money used was money set aside for his property tax.

Car gets fixed and he proceeds to work. Hours got cut a bit for two weeks in August, once again hurting him financially to keep up with his bills, picking and choosing what needed to get paid and unable to save money for property tax.

Another hit came when he went to have his car inspected in September, only to find out that the cost to fix what was wrong with it was not worth it and that the vehicle couldn't get inspected. He and our family are dependent on a vehicle to get to work, pay bills, do food shopping, and to get to and check on family members who are having some health issues at this time. We live in an area where it isn't always safe for pedestrians or bikers to walk or ride to their destinations. Winter is fast approaching, which conditions aren't that pleasant or safe. He's getting up there in age and I just want to have the peace of mind he is safe.

If you choose to donate, the money we raise will go towards helping to pay his property tax and a decent used car for him to get to work and do all the above listed. The goal amount set is a rough estimate. Property tax is roughly $1500 and is top priority. As for the car, I reached out to a few people and I have a friend who's parents have a car they are willing to get rid of for $500.  Anything extra that we don't need will go to paying it forward!

It would mean the world to him and I to see this be a success. We never ask for anything unless we really need to. This is a desperate situation and I'm hoping for a miracle. He suffers from severe anxiety and stress, this whole situation has him out of sorts. He works so hard and this bad string of luck has got him down.
