Jon Rutherford

Hi, I'm Cindy, and I'm helping to raise awareness and funds for Jon's funeral and memorial expenses and for our family. Jon's passing on Thursday was sudden and very unexpected (from natural causes). We are still reeling from the news of Jon's passing. I know you also feel this way and are heartbroken over the loss. If you didn’t know Jon personally, I'm sure you have felt this way about loved one who you have lost.

Many friends and family have asked how they can help .... we are asking for donations. The immediate need is to cover the funeral and memorial expenses. The family has planned a private viewing on Tuesday and is working to arrange a memorial in the Chicago area soon (date/time TBD). We are also planning to hold a memorial in Abilene, TX (Jon's hometown) later this month or next month, as we understand many of his family and friends from that region cannot attend here on short notice.

Jon is Christine’a beloved husband and best friend. Jon was the primary provider. Christine is checking to see if any or what benefits are available on behalf of Jon and his wonderful employer BD. As expected, Christine is very concerned about providing for herself and their son, A.J. It will take awhile for any benefits that might be available. Funds donated to meet the goal and beyond are greatly appreciated. Thank you for the outpouring of love and support.
