Cat Davis Bucket List
Donation protected
**UPDATE May 25, 2021**
After 11 years battling Scleroderma, Cat walked into the arms of Jesus. She went in her sleep and looked very peaceful. Out of respect for the family, they are asking that no one asks questions, stop by, or send flowers at this time. Details about her celebration of life will be provided when ready.
The family thanks all who have donated to this fund. Cat was able to complete her bucket list. She went to Hawaii with her mom, she visited with her long distance friends, and she was able to enjoy Christmas with her entire family. This fund will continue to remain open for those who would like to contribute to her memorial and to also help support her mom, Sally, as she grieves for her youngest child and only daughter. Cat left behind a legacy of faith, strength, and so much love. I know that Cat's desire was for everyone to know and have a personal relationship with Jesus so they could experience where her strength came from.

In 2010 at 22 years of age, Cat Davis was diagnosed with rapidly Advancing Diffuse Systemic Scleroderma. She was given only two to five years to live. Since her diagnosis, Cat has fought hard getting any and all treatments, including traveling to Mexico to receive a treatment that is unavailable in the U.S.
Cat is one of the only scleroderma patients who has undergone not only an autologous (her own) stem cell transplant, but an allogeneic (donor) stem cell transplant from her brother. She has allowed herself to be the “guinea pig,” and risked her life with these transplants to not only help herself, but more importantly open up doors for other scleroderma sufferers.
Ten and a half years later, Cat is terminal at age 33. There are no longer any more treatments for her to pursue. With much thought and prayer, Cat decided to go on Palliative Care with plans to transition to Hospice Care sometime after the new year.
Her diagnosis at such a young age has taken so much away from her. She lost her ability to be her carefree, independent self. Cat’s friends want to be able to give her the ability to spend her last moments on this side of heaven getting to be the vibrant, fun loving person she is. She has a bucket list and we are so excited to be a part of working to check off that list! We want to make Cat’s final moments with us on Earth as special as possible with those who mean the most to her.
Our goal is to also help lessen the financial burden for her mom, Sally, during this time. Sally needs help catching up on medical bills especially, but also just to be able to live without financial worry. She should be able to focus on Cat, and enjoy every last moment she has with her daughter. In order to provide Cat with medical treatments, Sally had refinanced and ultimately lost their family home of 34 years, and drained her and her late husband’s life savings. She has also been forced to retire due to her own health issues. As much as this is about Cat, it’s also about Sally. She shouldn’t have to stress about finances after Cat is gone.
We have created a Paypal fundraiser for those who want to participate in this gift. We have also created a separate email account for those of you who would like to contact us (Cat’s friends) or contribute in other ways: [email redacted]
Since this is a personal fundraiser, these donations are not tax deductible.
