Amputee Need Help w/ School Funds & Medical Bills

My name is Jerald J. Scott. I am 32 years old and I currently reside in Houston, TX. I am presenting this campaign in hopes of gaining some assistance to further my visions in life and clear some medical debt. As some people already know, on October 24, 2018, I was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident that nearly killed me. I endured many injuries, all including losing about 8 pints of blood and suffering a right leg amputation above the knee. This resulted in many medical procedures, medications and, of course, needing a right leg prosthesis. All of these things accumulated a pretty substantial medical bill (and regular bills) that I am still not yet able to take care of. I’ve been denied disability funds 4 times(one including when I was still in ICU), and have not been able to work for over a year. Despite the odds against me, I attempted enrolling into school to pursue a dream of Film Production. However, due to lack of transportation, an inadequate laptop for the proper software and insufficient financial aid, I was forced to drop my classes within two months. I was always taught to work hard for what I want and I am not accustom to asking for help. Yet, I’m putting my pride aside to genuinely ask for some much needed assistance as before during the beginning stages of my accident. Anything you have on your heart to give and donate is a blessing. Even if it’s just a simple sharing of my campaign, I will be very much appreciative of it from the bottom of my heart. This small act of kindness will mean more than you know and will take a lot of stress off of my family and I.
