J Scott Homan Medical Bills
Donation protected
My brother, J. Scott Homan has always known how to make people laugh, always seeing the humorous side of life. It was fitting he would become a comedian/comedy writer as his career for 25 + years. As children, he always looked out for me. He was the one that walked me to the bus stop everyday. It was him that took me to get my drivers license when I turned 16. He was the one that went to all of my cross country meets in high school. He's always been there for me even as adults and is truly one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I love him so much and hope this GoFundMe account will help him meet his goal. Thank you all for your support.
Back in June of 2017, melanoma was found and removed from J. Scott's right thigh along with the complete dissection of lymph nodes from his right leg. He began an immunotherapy (ipilimumab) drug which was four treatments, once every three weeks. A recent PET scan has revealed that the treatment has not worked and the cancer has spread to his pelvis, lungs, and neck. As you can imagine, we are crushed by this news. An MRI will be done next week to see if the cancer has entered his brain. His doctors are in the process of mapping the DNA of the cancer to find a new treatment. Time really is of the essence.
Scott does not have insurance and so therefore we have started this gofundme to help cover some of his medical expenses. Thank you so much for your donations and I will keep everyone updated on his progress.
Please share this among your friends.
Sincerely,
Denise Ott
