Providing Technology & Supplies for Asylum Seekers

Hola. My name is Elana Rabinowitz and I am an English as a Second Language teacher in a public middle school in Brooklyn. I service all new arrivals and this

year we have many new immigrants from South America with endless needs. Our school has minimal funding. We do not have any devices to give to our new arrivals. I want to order Chromebooks that would allow these children to participate in their daily lessons and a translation tool.

Every day we are getting new students and it is difficult to keep up with the demand. While I was able to order some food and hygiene items, DonorsChoose no longer allows us to order Chromebooks and I believe these are the most economical solutions for their literacy needs.

The funds will be used to buy approximately 10 Chromebooks.

Please consider donating to this project and allowing these students to acclimate to their new culture and classroom. And feel free to share.
