JTED Students Help Houston
Donation protected
Ten students from the Pima JTED construction class at Star High School in the Sunnyside School District in Tucson, Arizona want to assist those who are in need as a result of the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.
The students, along with myself and a retired electrician, are volunteering their time during fall break to travel to Texas and are prepared to work there for five days. We will be working alongside EFCA, an organization that is providing local relief to those affected. The students will have an opportunity to use their talents and learned skills to make a difference as they help the victims of this disaster.
While a church has graciously offered to provide us lodging, our team still hopes to raise the remainder of our funds. We have calculated the cost to be approximately $6300 for travel, food, tools, personal protective equipment, and the ability to present gift cards to the families in need to help recreate their sense of home.
We are asking for your support for our trip and appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you for your generosity!
