HELP LACINO PUT HIS LIFE BACK TOGETHER! Lacino Hamilton was sent to prison in 1994 at the age of 19 and served 26 years of an 80 year sentence for a crime he did not commit. The only thing linking Lacino to the crime was a notorious professional jailhouse snitch who lied and testified in numerous cases. Lacino was finally freed because of the tireless work of the attorneys at Chartier & Nyamfukudza, P.L.C., the Wayne County Conviction Integrity Unit, and the Western Michigan University-Cooley Innocence Project, as well as private investigator Claudia Whitman. DNA evidence that was hidden all those years ago was found excluding Lacino as a contributor, leading to the discovery of numerous irregularities and misconduct.

After 26 years of being denied an opportunity to make a life Lacino has nothing. Anything you can contribute will go directly to Lacino. He needs help with housing, transportation, clothes, food, eye wear, phone, medical needs denied him in prison, and resources to continue fighting for truth and justice.
Donating will help Lacino secure the most basic necessities and help him foster and expedite his continuing efforts to build a broad dialogue to find more effective ways to challenge injustice and promote social justice through education. Thank you for being part of righting a terrible wrong. Donate! Help Lacino!
