Karen is a 43 year old labor & delivery nurse at NCMC, a single mother of two teenagers who lives in Suffolk County, New York. A person who has always been kind and cared for others now needs our help in this difficult time.
Last month she received the news that she has colon cancer, the same disease that took her children's father years ago. On Thursday she will undergo surgery at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center.
