Jtown Hot Yoga means so much more than Yoga to so many of us, it is community, soul, laughter and a way of life. It’s the place that you look forward to coming to after a long day, and the faces you look forward to seeing. Its the place where you clear your mind, strengthen your body and lighten your spirit. Its your go -to for feeling awesome, supporting your health and your lifestyle.
Let's take it back to the beginning for a second; Jtown was founded by Stephanie and Fi in 2015 with no partners or investors, just two girls. We are small in stature but mighty in our determination, we are the underdogs. We have put everything we have into these communities and it’s been our heart-felt labor of love ever since. We are the place where everybody knows your name.
For the last 5 years we have hustled to provide incredible experiences and to provide safe, extremely clean, beautiful spaces for you to sweat, shine and feel renewed - and that is not going to change any time soon! We are dedicated to keeping each location the most beautiful, cleanest and most sought after health and wellness studios in the Tri-state area. You know us, we are going to kick it up a notch, we are excited about it and you should be too!! Our pattern of professionalism and care is undeniable.
Behind the scenes we have taken several hits over the last 5 years and persevered with blood, sweat, tears and laughter and will continue to do so. Each location has served us unique challenges and we have always risen to the occasion! We will use a portion of this Gofundme to recoup the $20,000 heating upgrades we completed days before we had to close. (Insert Alanis Morrisette song here)
However nothing in the last 5 years could have prepared us for the pandemic. We have lost 95% of our revenue in just 60 days.
We are revamping from the inside out to relaunch better than ever before, but we need your help.
We are investing in $10,000 of bio-equipped sterilization equipment, so that each hot room and lobby space is outfitted with the below equipment:
We will be investing in:
Ozone Generators to filter the air in lobby and hot rooms
UV lamps with Ozone in each hot room that kill bacteria and viruses
UV wands for cleaning the studios
Hand sanitizer stations
New Mats and towels
High tech, UV light Mat cleaners (to be used after every mat use)
Non- touch Thermometers to check temperature
Special Cleaning solutions typically used on wrestling mats (to kill just about anything you can imagine)
All of these are already in high demand and we need to secure them for our studios and community ASAP. This will enable us to look after our collective health, keep our spaces sanitized and allow us all to return to our beloved practices with a clear conscious.
We have spent the last few weeks developing re-opening procedures to put in place to exceed your expectations when it comes to your safety and quality experience. We are doing this so that you know your Health and Wellness along with your family and friends is as the forefront of everything we do.
In addition to that, we are investing in our team, so that we are able to employ dedicated team members by offering full time employment with a proper living wage and medical benefits, for hardworking and loving individuals that serve the community each and every day. With this we can continue to offer high quality instruction, a variety of offerings and quality concierge service.
As most of you know, as we were closing in March, we pivoted quickly, and with a steep learning curve we built out, (and will continue to provide and improve), our top of the line virtual class offerings and video library. We invested in quality camera equipment, editing software, web platforms, music licenses, woman hours of editing and splicing and dicing and adding tracks, so that @home with Jtown carries the same level of energy, motivation and spirit as being in the studio. We will be adding new classes every week.
Small business are the heart and soul of this country. We humbly ask you to invest in the lives of many, from staff and students.
