Juan Esteban Ruiz

Juan Ruiz passed away on the morning of August 29th, 2023 at the age of 37 in Madison, WI. Juan is survived by his mother Ada Garcia, sister Ada Ruiz and his 2 kittens Bluma and Bulma. Juan was born in Colombia on June 7th, 1986. He moved from Colombia to America with his family in 1990. He graduated from Malcom Shabazz High School and was involved in wrestling at East High School. Juan was a political activist and was most known for his fight against immigrant injustice in California. He was a very creative soul with his various artwork and was a prolific musician. His favorite instrument was the drums, which he also hand-carved to express himself artistically. Juan was a free spirit and a ball of joy to everyone around him. He touched so many people's lives and will be forever missed. In Juan’s own words, he was an "Artist, Musician, Festy Kid, Playboy and Rockstar" and most importantly to him, "In love with life and being the father of his two kittens". Juan loved his family and friends to the point where he would give you the shirt off his back, and he carried this light everywhere he went

He was beloved by all and will be forever missed.
