Help Juan Reyes Win This Battle!

Hello,
I hope this finds you well and in good spirit. My name is Zefralyn. I have been in the hospitality industry for about 10 yrs now working with the same company. I have had several offers to join other establishments, but have stayed because of their wonderful sense of community. Throughout the years I have made strong bonds and created lasting friendships, even meeting my future husband there. I have encountered celebrities, politicians, millionaires, teachers, doctors, families, and even had the chance to wait on a lovely group of nuns.
In the past year however, I have had the great honor of working with Juan Reyes. He is unlike any human being I ever had the pleasure of getting to know. He commands your attention, not because he is loud and seeks it, but because he exudes kindness and warmth, and you can't help but notice his presence. So it was only natural that we, the staff, started to notice his absence. Weeks went by and now months we hadn't seen him. We just recently were informed that he's been in surgery and has some form of stomach cancer. He didn't want us to know at first, because of his humble nature and also to not cause us to worry. He didn't want to reach out for help, I'm assuming, because he didn't want to burden us. Just the stand up man that he is.
Being in the restaurant industry as servers, server assistants, line cooks, hostesses, bartenders, and food runners, we have very minimal resources. And most of us send the capital we do earn to our families. We've started a collection amongst our restaurant community in hopes of helping Juan Reyes and his family. However, I am disheartened and sad to say it is not enough. An unfortunate thing happened to a great man, but he is still tied to the responsibilities of mounds of medical expenses, rent, bills, and caring for loved ones, all without the ability to work. Though that is not his choice. He has a lovely wife and incredibly well mannered respectful beautiful kids, an extension of who he is.
It would mean the world and the moon and the stars to have your help so that we could inturn pay it forward and help a man of character, but also a man in need. On behalf of myself, my co-workers, and Juan Reyes, thank you in advance for your kindness, as I know it absolutely makes a difference. And in return we promise to keep paying it forward.
