Juan's New Leg: A Step Toward Soccer

Hello, I’m Juan.

For those who don’t know me, I’m 30. I’m a writer, a cook, I’m a little bit of everything I need to be to keep growing along the people that surround me. I also used to play soccer a couple years ago but I lost my leg fighting bone cancer. Good news are: I won the battle, also good news, I’m 1/4 robot now. But since then I’ve had crave and dream about running and playing soccer again.

I got the huge opportunity to get a new amazing prosthetic leg that will allow me not just to have better life and health quality but also to run and training soccer and get back on tracks. ⚽️ However There’s a copayment bill that I need to pay to get it and it’s $2000.

This go fund me is an invitation and a call for help to all of you to be the ones surrounding and supporting me on this new stage and chapter I’m facing that trust me people, is going to change my life. Literally.

Hola, soy Juan. 

Para quienes no me conocen, tengo 30 años. Soy escritor, cocinero, y un poco de todo también, para seguir creciendo junto a las personas que me rodean. Solía jugar fútbol hace algunos años, pero perdí mi pierna luchando contra un cáncer de hueso. 

La buena noticia es que gané la batalla, y la otra buena noticia: ahora soy 1/4 robot. Desde entonces he tenido el anhelo y el sueño de volver a correr y jugar fútbol. Tuve la gran oportunidad de acceder a una prótesis increíble que no solo me permitirá tener una mejor calidad de vida y salud, sino también correr, entrenar fútbol y volver a las canchas.

Sin embargo, hay un copago que necesito cubrir para obtenerla, y es de $2000. Esta campaña en GoFundMe es una invitación y un llamado a todos ustedes para que sean parte de este nuevo capítulo que estoy por comenzar, y que, créanme, va a cambiar mi vida.
