Mike Parkhill Cancer Fund

In January 2014, Mike went into the emergency room with appendicitis. On the pre-op CT scan they discovered a large tumor on his colon and several smaller tumors on the liver. At 39 years old, Mike was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. For the past two years Mike has undergone three rounds of chemo, a round of radiation, and three major operations. At this point the cancer is not responding to treatment. The family realizes that time is limited. He is hoping to get one last holiday together with his wife and three young children ages 8,10, and 12.

Mike's salvation gives him and his family peace, but the funds will give assurance that their needs will be met after his passing. The funds will be used for medical costs, funeral expenses, and family support. 

When I was 16 and living in foster care, Mike and Angela opened their home to me when I had no one else.  It is because of them that I turned my life around and accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. They showed me what a true Christian life is about and what a true family is something that I had never experienced before.  Mike has been the father I never had.

My story was just one of many that people share about the kind of people Mike and Angela are. They are always sacrificing their own needs for the needs of others.
