Jude Harper’s Top Surgery Fundraiser!

Hi - my name is Jude, I’m a late blooming trans man, based in Fife, Scotland.

 

I’m fundraising to cover some of the costs of my medical transition - a lengthy and expensive process due to extreme underfunding of NHS trans healthcare.

 

I am on a waiting list for an NHS gender clinic - but there’s an absolute minimum of a 2.5yr waiting list for an initial appointment. I’m in my early thirties, I do not want to wait any longer to be the person I’m supposed to be and to build a life I’m actually happy with - so I’m covering the costs for private healthcare.

 

I’ve already spent close to £2k on medically transitioning so far, with appointments, consultations, hormones, blood tests and clinic fees - but the bulk of my initial transition cost is going to be top surgery - which can cost anywhere between £7-10k in the U.K.

 

People have kindly reached out and asked if they can help with fundraising - and I’m incredibly grateful for any support I receive.
