Merritt housing transition

I'm David Merritt. My son has lived in a townhouse with his mother for 14 years. Last November I was happy to announce that his mother and I had completed a milestone objective necessary for his ongoing development and socialization. Less than one week later, in an unrelated development, his mother's father, who owns the townhouse, directed he and his mother to vacate the apartment within 21 days and ceased all contact with them. They have since been in hotels and of course matters related to the objectives completed in November have been put on hold. Together his mother and I have secured a lease on an apartment. Rent in Colorado is through the roof and start up costs and deposits on the apartment are overwhelming. More than we have after almost a month of hotel bills. Every penny after gofundme fees goes to housing start up costs and deposits.

Note that because my son is a minor, the fundraiser is entitled for the benefit of (a close family member, my sister or my stepdad) who will facilitate the housing payments.
