Judicial Review to reopen Hospitality in Wales.

Welsh hospitality needs your support. The argument put forward being that hospitality should be allowed to reopen and trade inside at the same time as non essential retail. We have done all that has been asked of us and more with respect to COVID guidelines. We are well regulated and have proven that we are as safe, if not safer, than the retail sector.

Here in Wales, devolved government have shown no sign or indication of hospitality opening up in 2021. There is no ‘roadmap’ at all. This effects every pubco, bar & restaurant operator and the supply chain that feeds it.  We need a voice and we urgently need representation in Wales.

With that said, we have spoken to the legal team at JMW LLP, the firm of solicitors who are handling the legal challenges for Sacha Lord/Hugh Osmond on behalf of hospitality in England. They have already overturned  the substantial table meal/scotch egg requirement. They are willing to take on the case for hospitality in Wales.

We are asking you, our customers, our suppliers and Welsh hospitality businesses to help crowdfund the costs to bring  a judicial review to examine the evidence. We are asking for everyone to be given a fair chance and opportunity to operate on a level playing field.
