Judith's Kidney Disease & Dialysis Journey

I’m Frances, Judith’s daughter in law. Judith was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease when she was 35 years old. This disease runs in the family, and her mother suffered from it as well and ultimately passed away from it.

Judith has been on dialysis for about 3 years. Since starting dialysis, she has struggled with poor medical care, inconsistent medical opinions, and many side effects including heart issues, a GI bleed, and multiple infections. We were hoping Judith could get on the kidney transplant list, but that seems increasingly unlikely given her heart condition.

Judith has been hesitant to ask others for help, but with the increasing cost of transportation, dialysis treatment, medications, and hospital bills, we are asking for any support you are willing to give during this difficult time.
