Help Judy Breathe

Hi, my name is Lynnelle and I need your help for my best friend of 41 years. Her name is Judy Tallent and she will have to have a double lung transplant within the next 3-6 months.

A lot of people in her community should remember her from CVS where she worked as a pharmacy tech. Judy has contracted Interstitial lung disease (Pulmonary Fibrosis). The doctors at Duke Hospital in Durham NC do not know how she got this disease. She has never been a smoker or worked in an environment that could possibly cause this. She has to qualify in a lot of medical ways to be approved. Her first step is a 5 day stay in Durham to undergo approximately 70 tests. She also has to have 2 designated caregivers , Belinda and myself, who will be with her 24/7 throughout her transplant journey. Judy’s husband died 4 years ago so Judy only has a divorced daughter who has to work and two grandchildren in college. She has always helped her family and never asked for any help for herself. The expenses for travel and having to live close to the hospital can be overwhelming to someone with limited resources and trying to maintain her home here. Any amount that can be raised will be used for housing so she can qualify to be on the list for transplant.
