Judy Eckhardt

All I can say is WOW and Thank you so much. We are only 2 days into the fund raising and we are already $1000 over our goal. So there will be plenty of money for Our Lady of Peace Hospice and perhaps another favorite charity of Judy's. I'm overwhelmed.

Hi. My name is Tom Eckhardt and I was blessed to be married to Judy Eckhardt for 10 years. She passed away on Jan. 13, 2023 at the age of 84. She loved nature and was an avid birder, having spotted about 350 birds in her lifetime.

We are going to set up a memorial bench, with a plaque, at the Eloise Butler Wild Flower Garden and Bird Sanctuary in Minneapolis Minnesota. Judy did some volunteer work there and also wrote a book about Eloise Butler, who was instrumental in getting that park established. She also wrote a children's book about hummingbirds. We enjoyed walking in the Garden in part of what I call One of the Greatest Love Stories of the 21st Century.

Anything over our goal will go to Our Lady of Peace Hospice and other good causes.
