Hi, my name is Bobbi McNeil, and I am writing this to try and raise some money to help out my sister, Judy Meade. On October 1, 2022, Judy tripped and fell down a flight of stairs. She was found unconscious, paramedics were called, and she ended up the in the emergency room. They let her go home that evening only to call and have her return after further review of her CT scan. There was serious concern about bleeding in her brain.
Along with sustaining a concussion, she also ended up with a cut on her scalp requiring stitches, cracked ribs, a broken bone on her face and a broken thumb. They kept her in the hospital for four days to monitor her. She was released to go home, but her daughter noticed something was not quite right, so she returned to the ER. The doctor explained that due to her concussion and what they believe were multiple brain bleeds, the sluggishness, coordination, fatigue and slow speech were all due to the fall, and only rest and time would help her heal. She has since been to a neurologist, and again, the exact instructions of rest, and they will do another CT scan in the future to see how her brain is healing. Judy's insurance will cover a portion of her medical bills but not entirely, and her plan does not offer short or long-term disability. She will be unable to work for at least a month, if not longer, and I know she has bills she has to pay, etc. If you can help by donating any amount, large or small, I am sure Judy will appreciate it! All of us are thankful that she is alive because things could have turned out much worse. Hug your family and tell them you love them because things can change quickly. Any contributions she receives will go towards medical expenses and bills due to the fall. Thank you and I guarantee she thanks you as well!
