Judys Upcoming Operations

My name is Linda, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my daughter, Judy. Judy is an incredibly strong and resilient young woman who has been facing the challenges of living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a complex connective tissue disorder that has profoundly impacted her life.

Over the past four years, Judy has undergone 13 major surgeries, with another surgery scheduled for early February. This upcoming procedure will be her 14th, and we already know there are at least two more surgeries on the horizon. Each surgery is a critical step in managing her condition and improving her quality of life, but the journey has been anything but easy.

Even with private insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for these surgeries are staggering. These expenses, coupled with the physical and emotional toll of such frequent medical interventions, have created an immense burden. Despite it all, Judy has remained determined and courageous, focusing on her health and future while enduring challenges most of us could never imagine.

As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to see her bear this weight—not just physically and emotionally, but financially as well. It would mean so much for her to face these upcoming procedures without the added worry of how to manage the costs.
