Juju's Emergency Treatment Fund
Donation protected
Juju is a 3 year old, black Domestic Short Hair who desperately needs your help.
On the night of July 27th, Juju was brought to an emergency clinic in Toronto with what was thought to be a severe urinary blockage. He was rushed to hospital in severe pain, with absolutely no ability to empty his bladder. He was examined, and it was determined that he had suffered a urinary obstruction. Likely, he would not have survived overnight had he not come to an emergency clinic that night.
With relief to his loving owners, Juju's vitals and bloodwork results came back clear regardless of his initial diagnosis. However, during the recommended xray testing, Juju was also diagnosed with a foreign body located in his stomach. It had not reached his abdomen, but required immediate removal due to the object not being passable through his stools. If left untreated, the object would have then moved to his bowels and a very costly surgery would have been required.
We have paid a total of $6,000 out of pocket in order to save his life and keep him stable while being monitored at the emergency clinic.
Any amount helps to recuperate the costs of Juju's unexpected visit, procedures and time spent at the emergency hospital. We are also hoping to gather an emergency fund which will likely be needed again in the near future, as a urinary blockage is common to reoccur.
