Juli Anna's Study Abroad to Tanzania

Hey friends! My name is Juli Anna Stanford and I am  a freshman at UT. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to study Swahili in Tanzania and Kenya this summer through a study abroad program at Howard University. In order to make this trip happen, I need about $3,000 more to cover travel and program expenses. My goal in going to Tanzania is to begin studying Swahili in order to gain a better understanding of sub-Saharan African culture and history. In University, I am studying Global and Religious Studies and I hope to use my undergraduate training to go on to help families directly impacted by HIV/AIDS.
