Julia & Brooks Alston

My dearest friend, Julia, and her husband Brooks, endured a harrowing ordeal last night on their way to Canada for Brooks’ grandmother’s funeral. Soon after they crossed the border, several deer unexpectedly leaped onto their path. They did their best to maneuver through them, but struck one and then were suddenly rear-ended by a Semi truck.

In the aftermath, it took three agonizing hours for medical personnel to life-flight Julia to the Foothills Medical Center in Calgary. Miraculously, Brooks escaped with minor injuries, but the love of his life, Julia, bore the brunt of the collision. She now relies on a breathing tube, with little brain activity.

Update: our dear sweet Julia gained her wings & is walking with our Savior. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday (03/09/24) night at 11:30pm. She was the epitome of Christlike love & kindness. We have all been blessed to know her & love her.

These two souls are the embodiment of kindness and generosity, making the depth of this tragedy all the more heart-wrenching.

This money will go to Marlena & Greg Bellon, Julia’s mother & father, to decide where the money will help best with medical expenses, funeral costs, & anything else they might need. Please pray for these beautiful souls & their families!
