***seeking help from the community***
On Friday 8/21/2020 three members of a Coral Springs family were severely mauled by a pitbull they were fostering. An 11 year old child received a large laceration to the back of his head that required 50 stitches. As his brother intervened, the dog latched onto his face and jaw, which fractured his jaw bone and tore away all the tissue around the boys eye, severely damaging his eye, including a detached cornea and damage to the pupil. He received over 30 stitches and required plastic surgery to repair the injuries to his face. When his mother intervened she was severely bit on multiple areas of her body which also required emergency care....While the mother was being attacked the 12 year old was able to run out of the room where he armed himself with a large kitchen knife and returned to save his mother......The 11 year old was able to run to the neighbor to call 911. Both of these boys acted bravely and did what they had to do to get the help they needed.
These kids are going to need quite a bit of assistance and the 12 year old is going to have to undergo additional operations to save his eye.
I’m reaching out to this community to see if anyone is willing to help out with any kind of donation that the family can benefit from while they recover.
The 12 year old is having a birthday in a couple weeks and we're trying to make it a good one for him.....
These kids acted heroically!!!
anything will go a long way
Thank you!!!!!!!!
