Julian 'Jun' Masilungan
Donation protected
On behalf of the Masilungan family, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of Julian 'Jun' Masilungan on the evening of Tuesday 30th January. For those of you who were fortunate enough to meet Jun, his hospitable and caring nature made people feel at instant ease. He brought joy to those around him and always put his family, friends and most importantly God first.
Jun was born and raised in Batangas, Philippines. He was part of the first generation of Filipinos to migrate to the UK in order to pursue a better life for himself and his future family. This is where he met his loving wife Marilyn and together they started a beautiful family together, welcoming their daughter Chloe and son Jovan. Jun had a prosperous career working in mental health for the NHS. He always put the health and wellbeing of others before himself and without a doubt served his community to the utmost of his ability.
Although Jun lived most of his life in the UK, his home has and always will be in Rosario, Batangas, Philippines. He was truly a proud Batangueño having helped start the Batangas association to help unite fellow Batangueños in the UK. He was chosen to lead the association during its formative years and helped shape the community. The Batangas association not only provides a social outlet, it's a home away from home and a humble community looking to give back to the less fortunate. I am sure his fellow Batangueños would agree that Jun played a pivotal role in creating, shaping and growing the community to what it has become today.
Jun's death has shocked his family. He is currently in the Philippines where he will be laid to rest. As his wife, children and grandchildren prepare to say their goodbyes, we are asking for your prayers during this difficult time. In the hope that we can try and help ease this families financial worries, any monetary donations would be greatly appreciated which will help cover hospital and funeral costs.
On behalf of the Masilungan Family, thank you all in advance for your kind donations, thoughts and prayers.
