Juliana's campaign for Larger Than Life USA Inc

It’s hard to imagine a love greater than a mother’s for her child, especially when they are sick. When they miss out on fun things or are in pain, our hearts ache for them. We would do almost anything, sacrifice what we could, to heal them… make them smile again… see them well. 
 
 
My name is Juliana Hakakian and I am 12 years old. For my Bat Mitzvah project, I want to raise money to help the families in our Larger Than Life organization for a specific goal. Larger Than Life is a nonprofit organization that helps Israeli children with cancer and their families in various ways and different programs.
 
I understand how stressful it can be for a mother to be away from their child in the hospital, as well as how scary for the child to be alone overnight while battling cancer the night before an operation or treatment. I want to help these families stay together for the night by buying hospital sofa beds for the moms or dads to sleep over in the room next to their child during the nights when they need it. These beds will go in the rooms of the pediatric oncology department of the Dana-Dwek Children’s Hospital of Ichilov, in Tel Aviv, Israel.
 
Each medical bed costs approximately $1,500 that will be purchased by the hospital through LTL. My goal is to be able to purchase 2-3 of these sofa beds by Lag B’Omer on May 19, 2019. I plan to visit the hospital in July of this year, when I will celebrate my Bat Mitzvah in Israel, and see my dream project turn to reality. Please help me reach my goal, and take part in my Mitzvah, because even a little contribution goes a long way and together we can make a big difference in a child’s life.
