Julian's fight against myleodysplastic syndrome

Here is Julian's Story:

Julian has fought an "unknown" blood condition for most of his life. Suffering from low platelet counts, random illnesses and other symptoms that doctors struggled to understand. Julian and his family now have a diagnosis...

Julian's bone marrow is failing. His bone marrow biopsy last year showed dysplastic features (abnormal cells). The newest one showed dysplastic features and blasts. They have diagnosed him with myleodysplastic syndrome. MDS for short. The blasts could turn into leukemia so we have to act fast because they weren't there last year. He needs to have a bone marrow transplant.

Pediatric MDS is extremely rare, only 4 in 1,000,000 children suffer from this syndrome. As of the start of this fundraiser Julian, just 15 years old, has had 6 Bone Marrow biopsies and a Port placed in his body to better accommodate the blood transfusion he requires every 3-4 days as his bone marrow fails and his blood turns to water in his veins.
